CPL. Robert (Bob) H. Hinson

12/6/82 – 6/18/91

Cpl. Hinson, age 59, was shot and killed on June 18, 1991, around 1:00 A.M. while responding to a break-in call. Two suspects were arrested within hours. It was later determined that the break-in was a false call made to lure an officer to a vacant house where the two suspects had planned to murder an officer and take his duty weapon. The suspects were convicted in court and received life-plus sentences.
