Operations
The Patrol Operations Administrator has many responsibilities. He is responsible for the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office vehicles. He orders new vehicles, coordinates repairs, and ensures vehicles maintain insurance and current registration.
The Patrol Operations Administrator is also responsible for the Sheriff’s Office equipment. He orders equipment and weapons, oversees maintenance of equipment including issuing cell phones and pagers, and orders uniforms.
Safety Officer
The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office must stay current in all training and certification renewals. The Patrol Operations Administrator coordinates training of department staff including in service training, certification renewals, and new skills training.
He/She also serves as the Departmental Safety Officer and is responsible for coordinating safety training and investigating accidents.
When the Patrol Operations Administrator is not busy with the above tasks, he may take reports, investigate crimes, and/or serve warrants.
